Quail Hollow Club is a member-owned club and private. The park includes a grove of trees, a very high fireplace in the center, and plenty of stone. The Wachovia Championship was played from 2003 to 2008 before it was changed to the Quail Hollow Championship. It later held the World Seniors Invitational Golf Tournament from 1980 to 1989.įor many years, the PGA Tour didn't play at Quail Hollow Club, but it returned the prestigious course in 2003. It's an expensive club and it's incredibly difficult to become a member, compared to other Charlotte country club options. Instead, Quail Hollow Club is all about golf. A 15 acre lake frames the left side of the hole and the rough on that side slopes down to the water. It measures 346 yards from the championship tees. The par four, 14th is a dogleg left that can be driven with a good tee shot. The Quail Hollow course has two signature holes.
